No trip is complete without a visit to one of the island’s notable spice farms. Awaken your senses as you surround yourself among these expansive plantations filled with varieties of spices. Enjoy a sensual insight of ginger, vanilla, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper and cloves, and how they are used for traditional and modern medicines and cosmetics, and their influence on the local cuisine.SAFARI BLUE ($45 PER PERSON FULL DAY)
The quiet sea and balmy breezes will relax your spirit, as you sail around this beautiful island. Enjoy a variety of cool drinks and specialty snacks, and hopefully be lucky enough to spot dolphins playfully jumping through the clear waters. This ranger guided walking tour is an excellent introduction to Zanzibar’s only national park, Jozani-Chwaka Bay National Park, southeast of Stone Town. Explore the lush flora and fauna of the forest’s nature trail, where you can hope to spot troops of its most famous resident, the Red Colobus Monkey as well as Bush Babies, Sykes Monkeys, Bush Pigs and a wide variety of butterflies and birds.MNEMBA ($45 PER PERSON FULL DAY)
Surrounded by a coral atoll, swimming and snorkeling can be enjoyed directly from the beach. Fantastic diving with great coral reefs and sheer wall dives are found here where guests can admire the colorful underwater world.PRISON ISLAND ($45 PER PERSON FULL DAY)
While it never actually housed any prisoners and eventually became a quarantine station for yellow fever it is now best known as a sanctuary for the lovable Aldabra Giant Tortoises. In 1919 the British governor of Seychelles gifted the original 4 iconic residents to the island, and today remains a dedicated foundation to look after these gentle giants. Enjoy lunch and the rest of the day swimming or snorkeling around the sandbars. Just a quick 30-minute boat trip from Stone Town.SWIM WITH DOLPHINS ($30 HALF DAY)
